Welcome to the home of LYSA (Longwood Youth Sports Association), where you will be able to obtain more information about the entire organization, as well as the individual sports. LYSA was originally formed back in 1962, as the Middle Island Sports Association and then later evolved into the current LYSA organization it is known today in 1972. The organization was formed to ensure the youth of Longwood would have organized sports available to them throughout the area. Today's leagues have grown to over 3,000 families across 8 sports under the LYSA umbrella and is recognized as the largest youth sport organization in Suffolk county and one of the largest on all of Long Island.
